The Data Science Certificate was created for people looking to launch careers in Data as quickly as possible. Over the past few years, we've proven that we're a great fit for most people who love to problem solve.

While our certificates our generally beginner friendly, it is highly recommend that you learn some basic concepts through free introductory level online courses. You should also be very comfortable using a computer, installing software, handling video calls, and browsing the web.
There are no prerequisites. Anyone 18 and over is welcome to apply.
New applicants are required to complete an assignment to test their knowledge of basic concepts. You can take the Data Science assignment here and the Web Development assignment here.
The recommendation is to submit your application at least one month before the start date. However, we officially close registration one week before class starts or if the class fills up.
Classes are taught live online using Zoom or Google Meet. Instructors deliver lectures, field questions, and do live demonstrations. During class, when lectures are complete, instructors are also available for 1-1 support to help you with your assignments and projects.
Athabasca is a highly recognized university in Canada. This certificate will highlight your skills as well as provide you with advice and strategy on how to obtain a job in your field of study. However, we cannot guarantee that all successful students will obtain a job as there are many factors beyond our control.
